These books, Volumes I, II, III and IV of “Around the World in Forty Years,” are a chronicle of 40 years (1970-2010) of traveling to 53 countries and making 40 trips to Mexico. They are filled with the history, personal experiences and tidbits of each country, including more than 250 color photos, followed by easy-to-prepare recipes for a five-course meal inspired by the region (be sure to read the titles of the dishes as they correspond with the countries).
In Volume I, “Ten Terrific Years,” from 1970 to 1979, we traveled to: Luxembourg, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Haiti, Jamaica, The Bahamas, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Guatemala, Costa Rica, France, Greece, Egypt, Morocco, Spain, Canada, Ecuador, Columbia, Peru, Singapore, Sri Lanka, The Philippines, India, Nepal, Thailand and Hong Kong.
These true stories about our travels were written so that I will never forget what wonderful times my husband, Art, and I shared during the years. It is with this thought in mind that I now share these stories with you, in the hope that they might help and inspire someone else to experience the diverse, wonderful world we all live in, as we did, but on your own terms and by living and writing your own stories that you can share with others.
